Flexible circuitry

”Roll to Roll” and “Sheet to Sheet” printing systems in the field of flexible circuitry require a support that guarantees planarity and dimensional stability as well as high adhesion with conductive inks with high conductivity. Coveme meets these requirements with a range of treated and heat stabilized polyester films, ideal for high speed printing and validated by the major multinational companies in the fields of electronics for automobiles, avionics, home appliances etc.

In the automotive industry, the systems for detecting the presence of the driver and the passenger and the multi-polar flexible cables for steering wheel controls are some of the achievements based on Coveme products.

One of the main applications in the field of flexible circuitry is represented by R.F.I.D. antennas where the control of merchandise through the use of intelligent labeling has as its objective the gradual substitution of the bar code system. This permits the electronic registration at a distance of all relevant information regarding logistics management. R.F.I.D. antennas, complete with a chip, constitute the receiving and transmitting center of the
information contained in the intelligent labels.

Coveme technology has perfected a treatment for the surface of fi lms which improves the adhesion of conductive inks and guarantees proper functioning in conditions of mechanical stress and unfavorable environments.

The recent introduction of new technology for making R.F.I.D. antennas by means of patterned deposition and/or ink jet deposition is supported by Coveme proposing films adapted to this application.

The future sees us involved in new frontiers of substrates for microelectronics, developing films for high temperatures and the production of micro-circuitry with sputtering systems.
