Electrical insulation
From the close relationship between Coveme and DuPont, initiated in the early ‘70s with the distribution of Nomex® and Kapton®, an ever increasing collaboration in the field of electrical insulation has arisen, on both a commercial level and on a production level.
In terms of process, the advanced know-how of Coveme, together with the extraordinary characteristics of DuPont materials, has given rise to an extremely high technological range of products, capable of satisfying the requirements of a sector such as electrical machinery, both static and rotary, which necessitate maximum performance in little space and elevated working temperatures. Coveme’s material range includes both primary and converted film for flexible electrical insulation.
The contribution of Coveme in the recent application of a high performance insulator in transformers and generators utilized in wind towers has proven decisive. When one thinks in terms of renewable energy, Coveme insulating systems signify reliability and valuable innovation.
Furthermore, a range of technological films allows Coveme to serve markets such as electronic circuitry, high depth cables and heavy duty applications. Insulation materials produced and distributed by Coveme are certified by Underwriters Laboratories and by all the principal certifying bodies throughout the world. Nomex® e Kapton® are registered trademarks of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co.
